Located in the east of Lintong District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, the Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shihuang is a large-scale burial pit in the cemetery of the first feudal emperor ruled by Qin Shihuang. The area of the cemetery is 2.18 million square meters. The museum is based on the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shihuang. It is also the largest ancient military museum in China.



There are three pits of Terracotta Warriors and Horses in the Museum of Qinshihuang Terracotta Warriors and Horses. The pit No. 1 is a main battle array of chariots and infantry, with a total area of 14260 square meters and about 6,000 life-size terra-cotta figurines. The second pit is the essence of the Qin terracotta pit. It covers an area of 6,000 square meters and consists of four units. The four square formations are composed of chariots, cavalry and crossbows, which are in strict order and impeccable. Pit No. 3 is the command system of the army, covering 524 square meters.

The pit of Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Dynasty was discovered from 1974 to 1976.
